Cristina de Lorenzo

EXPERIENCE

She began her career in the Legal Consultancy of the Central Hispanic Bank, where she dealt with matters of corporate commercial law and civil law, related to clients' status, capacity and wills. She has been adviser to the main deputy of the Executive Cabinet of the Community of Madrid, and she has coordinated the creation, editing, control and monitoring of the Development Plan of the Digital Knowledge-based Society of the Community of Madrid  She represented the Community of Madrid in the Audiovisual Committee of the European Union during the 2nd half of 2005. Since she joined the firm as a lawyer, she has been actively involved in advising telecommunications companies and Internet portals. In addition, she has given external advice for the Federation of Regional Autonomous Television (FORTA) in regards to audiovisual rights.

Luis De Valle

Luis is responsible of the Banking & Finance and Bankruptcy Area of the law firm. He holds a degree in Business and Economics (1994), a degree in Law (1996) and a PhD (2010) in Law with Honors at the Complutense University of Madrid. EXPERIENCE

José Gabaldón

Law degree at the University of Valencia (1946). He sat a competitive examination to district judge and to the judicial career, and has been restricted to Judge of Contentious Administrative Branch.

EXPERIENCE

He began his career as examining judge of (1951-1962), and he was subsequently appointed examining judge-magistrate.  During the past years, he has held many important positions: dean of Palma de Mallorca (1962-1963), specialised judge in Chamber for Contentious Administrative Proceedings of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (1963-1972), specialised judge in the Chamber for for Contentious Administrative Proceedings of the Provincial Court of Valencia (1972 -1974), judge of the Fourth Chamber of the Supreme Court (1974-1981), member of the Supreme Court Justice as chairman of the Chamber for Contentious Administrative Proceedings of the National Court (1981-1990), judge of the Constitutional Court (1990 - 1995) and vice-president of the Constitutional Court (1995). Finally, he is partner of the firm since 2000 and has been elective adviser of the State Council. He is member of the Spanish Institute of Procedural Law, member of the Institute of Studies of the Canary Islands (CESIC), president of the Spanish Family Forum and founding partner of the Spanish Association of Biotechnology Law. Javier Guerra

José María Jiménez Candela

He carries out his professional activity mainly in the sphere of the court of civil jurisdiction, taking part in the legal direction of all sorts judicial and arbitration proceedings: enforcement of contracts, quantity claims, civil liability, challenges to social agreements and corporate disputes, competition law and unfair competition, bankruptcy procedures, and procedures for recognition and enforcement in Spain of foreign judgements and awards.
He has given advise to all sorts of companies, both as a administrative board secretary and as a advising lawyer.
He also deals with administration law, as he has worked in the Office of the Minister in the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade for more than five years, in the area of Information Society and Media and Communications.

Rosendo Llorente Martín

He began his career in Madrid as a legal adviser to the QUIBEY company group, and he later became secretary of the administration board of many companies of that group. Subsequently, he was founder and secretary of the Administrative Board of the CIMA group, which has created of a health care network in cooperation with MAPFRE. After selling the firm, in 1985 he moved to Marbella (Malaga), and started working as a legal adviser to the MARBELLA INTERNACIONAL, S.L. firm group. At the same time, he joined the CRUZ CONDE ABOGADOS legal practice. In 1992, he moved to Barcelona, and started working in the RUEDA ABOGADOS law firm, specialised in commercial and civil law. In 1994, he founded the BUFETE FANJUL lawyer’s practice in Madrid, where he has been partner and manager. Since he became partner of our firm, he has dealt with commercial and corporate law, civil law and real estate and urban planning law. Antonio López Roa

EXPERIENCE

He has eventually been judge in the Military Jurisdiction Court and substitute judge in the Courts of the District of Madrid. Alfonso Maillo

Besides, he has taken part and directed multidisciplinary teams in the purchase of companies from diverse sectors - audiovisual, media, real estate and urban planning and zoning -, and has assisted clients during due diligences and negotiations. In the past years, he has also worked in the area of real estate and urban planning law, giving advise to many clients from the real estate development, promotion and construction sector, with regard to relations with land owners and the authorities involved in the process.

Ginebra Martos

EXPERIENCE

He began his professional career in Spain as a lawyer in the telecommunications sector. Later, he worked in the Office of Wilkinson, Barker & Knauer, Washington DC (1996/1998), where he developed an intense activity in the sector of telecommunications and new technologies: he was government adviser in privatization processes in Panama and Colombia, and adviser to U.S. operators on the legal framework in Argentina, Brazil, and El Salvador, as well as to regulatory agencies of that sector, in Bolivia and Ecuador. He took part in proceedings in the Department of State and the FCC on behalf of international satellite consortia (Simon Bolivar) and telephone operators interested in investing in the United States.  He came back to Spain and joined the firm as a partner, where he became management partner in 2000. He has given advice to telecommunications operators, ISPs, as well as broadcasters, producers and companies dedicated to New Economy. He has done remarkable work on advising about investment issues, international business and entertainment industry (particularly in the areas of film and sport). Regarding the film industry, he has advised, among others, EGEDA (Management of Audiovisual Producers) and FECE (Film Exhibitors Federation). Myriam Osuna

She obtained a Law degree at the San Pablo CEU University-Madrid, and has specialised in Taxation and Tax Consulting in the Law Faculty of the Comillas Pontifical University and at the Centre for Tax Studies (CDTE). She is listed in the Official register of auditors.

EXPERIENCE

She began her careers an auditor and fiscalist at Arthur Andersen, and later continued in Drake and Associates, and DC & O.  She has collaborated with Euroactivos Agencia de Valores, Multicontrol and Gestores Fiscales too. Her experience in tax consultancy and auditing include banks, insurance companies, real estate companies, transport companies, TV and film producers, health area and brokerage companies. Moreover, she has taught several specialized courses organized by Arthur Andersen, Drake and Associates, the Data Protection Agency and International Research. In the Sánchez Pintado & Núñez Office, she gives commercial and comprehensive tax advice and she does accounting audits and reviews of financial statements. Besides, Myriam is a practising Certified Public Auditor-Accountant.

Javier Sáenz de Olazagoitia

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree (1997) and PhD (2000: “Consolidated taxation of corporate groups” ) in Law at the University of Navarre. He broadened his education through research internships in the United States (NYU 1999) and Executive Development Programs (PDD 2002) and Corporate Finance Programs (focused 2007) at IESE Business School.

EXPERIENCE

He began his professional career as an adjunct professor of Financial and Tax Law at the University of Navarre, and he is still lecturer in the Master’s degree in Tax Consultancy. Later, he became assistant of general manager at the same University, a position he held for three years, dealing with legal and tax organization and project financing. He subsequently founded his own office in Pamplona (1994), in collaboration with other Spanish and foreign offices, and finally, joined SP&N as a partner of the tax area. He has specialised in legal and tax planning and enforcement of organizational structures in companies, family heritage and non-profit entities, as well as in their restructuring, both internally -Spain and its regions- and internationally. Likewise, within these areas of expertise and regarding all types of taxes,  he has been in charge of the legal direction of appeals in all courts. He is a regular lecturer and has written monographs, articles and technical papers about diverse legal-tax matters related to his professional specialities. Emilio Sánchez-Pintado

Law degree at the Complutense University of Madrid (1955). Diploma at the Centre for Government Employees Training (subsequently the National School of Public Administration). Studies in Public Administration in the United Kingdom (1959-1962), scholarship at the International Cooperation Administration (ICA) of the U.S.A, and stagiaire in the Commission of the French Plan (1963).

EXPERIENCE

He began his career as a collaborator of the Technical Secretariat-General of the Government. He joined the Board of Technicians of Information and Tourism, and then became director of Information Services and Documentation of the Government. He subsequently held the position of technical secretary of the minister and was organizer of the Development Plan and general manager of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He has been attorney in the Legislative Body, member of the Committees of the Government and Foreign Affairs, member of IPU, where in 1976 he lead the Spanish delegation at the Conference for a New International Economic Order (Bucharest, Romania). He has been member of the board of directors of  the EFE agency, PETROLIBER, PRENSA ECONÓMICA, SA and chairman of New Europe International Consultants, Inc. Since 1994,  he has actively assisted the Government in the process of liberalizing the telecommunications sector, in which he has earned a strong reputation, and he has also participated in several Phare programs, including advice given to the governments of Poland and Latvia with regard to audiovisual and telecommunications law. He has been the main adviser in the development of the project on Information Society that the European Union is performing in Algeria.

Aránzazu Soler

EXPERIENCE

She began her professional career in the Suarez de la Dehesa Abogados law firm, where she stayed for nine years (until 2006). She has served as a lawyer, primarily in the areas of intellectual property, audiovisual, the right to honor and privacy and publicity rights, in departments consultancy and procedural law.  On behalf of the above mentioned firm, she worked as an adviser at the headquarters of the Institution for Management Rights of Audiovisual Producers (EGEDA). Since joining Sanchez Pintado & Nuñez Bar, she has been working in those same areas of practice. She also provides legal advice concerning to the right of rectification in communication media. She has given lectures on intellectual property in cinematography schools, such as the School of Audiovisual Arts (EAV) from 1996 to 2000, and in Septima Ars from 2001 to present. Besides, she has been lecturer in many occasions in institutional and university forums.
