He has been a diplomat at the Embassy of Ecuador in London and adviser to the Minister of Finance of Ecuador. In the banking area, he has been director general of the Progress Bank. Among his extensive professional experience it should be emphasized that he has been chairman of the board of directors of the Diario Telégrafo, advisor to the Canal 12 TV channel, member of the Civic Board of Guayaquil and adviser to several companies. He began his professional career in Spain as a lawyer in the telecommunications sector. Later, he worked in the Office of Wilkinson, Barker & Knauer, Washington DC (1996/1998), where he developed an intense activity in the sector of telecommunications and new technologies: he was government adviser in privatization processes in Panama and Colombia, and adviser to U.S. operators on the legal framework in Argentina, Brazil, and El Salvador, as well as to regulatory agencies of that sector, in Bolivia and Ecuador. He took part in proceedings in the Department of State and the FCC on behalf of international satellite consortia (Simon Bolivar) and telephone operators interested in investing in the United States. He came back to Spain and joined the firm as a partner, where he became management partner in 2000. He has given advice to telecommunications operators, ISPs, as well as broadcasters, producers and companies dedicated to New Economy. He began his professional career as an adjunct professor of Financial and Tax Law at the University of Navarre, and he is still lecturer in the Master’s degree in Tax Consultancy. Later, he became assistant of general manager at the same University, a position he held for three years, dealing with legal and tax organization and project financing. He subsequently founded his own office in Pamplona (1994), in collaboration with other Spanish and foreign offices, and finally, joined SP&N as a partner of the tax area. He has specialised in legal and tax planning and enforcement of organizational structures in companies, family heritage and non-profit entities, as well as in their restructuring, both internally -Spain and its regions- and internationally. He has been attorney in the Legislative Body, member of the Committees of the Government and Foreign Affairs, member of IPU, where in 1976 he lead the Spanish delegation at the Conference for a New International Economic Order (Bucharest, Romania). He has been member of the board of directors of the EFE agency, PETROLIBER, PRENSA ECONÓMICA, SA and chairman of New Europe International Consultants, Inc. She began her professional career in the Suarez de la Dehesa Abogados law firm, where she stayed for nine years (until 2006). She has served as a lawyer, primarily in the areas of intellectual property, audiovisual, the right to honor and privacy and publicity rights, in departments consultancy and procedural law. On behalf of the above mentioned firm, she worked as an adviser at the headquarters of the Institution for Management Rights of Audiovisual Producers (EGEDA). Since joining Sanchez Pintado & Nuñez Bar, she has been working in those same areas of practice. She also provides legal advice concerning to the right of rectification in communication media. She has given lectures on intellectual property in cinematography schools, such as the School of Audiovisual Arts (EAV) from 1996 to 2000, and in Septima Ars from 2001 to present. Besides, she has been lecturer in many occasions in institutional and university forums.
